Heymo 1 by Sokos Hotels has been awarded with Green Key certificate and Sustainable Travel Finland label.
This means that we operate according to strict environmental criteria and do our part in taking care of the environment.
Sustainable Travel at Heymo
Heymo is a completely new kind of hotel: we actually hope that our guests spend as little time as possible at the hotel itself—after all, the city has almost everything you need. That’s why we focus on offering what the city doesn’t.
At Heymo, check-in and check-out are done electronically via self-service kiosks. Every digital check-in saves paper, as there’s no need to print registration forms. Receipts are also digital unless a paper copy is specifically requested.
For breakfast, you can choose the option that suits you best: Will it be a buffet breakfast at our partner restaurant, Swing Deli, or an All Day Breakfast set straight from the hotel’s smart fridge—whenever it fits your schedule? Heymo doesn’t have its own restaurant, but our smart fridges offer individual products, helping to minimize food waste.
Tips for Responsibility
- Drink clean water: Finland has globally one of the cleanest waters of the world. At Heymo Kitchen you can also find a tap to drink fresh water.
- Support locals: Heymo Fixer’s recommend the best local actives and nearby restaurants
- Meri reusable water bottle collaboration: We donate 1€ from each purchased bottle to charity that helps to keep the oceans clean.
- Use public transportation: From Heymo there is easy access to public transportation, for example Keilaniemi metro and new Raide-Jokeri tram stations.
- Explore the surrounding areas: You can take nature paths along the coastline and hiking for example Espoo Waterfront Walk away. You can always ask for advice about the neighborhood from our Fixers!
- Buy only what you need: In Heymo we encourage to buy only the product you need and use environmental-friendly options.
