Market Square & Esplanade

Located by the sea, the Market Square is Helsinki's most famous market, where you can enjoy traditional market delicacies, buy handicrafts and souvenirs, and watch the bustling crowds. Ferries to Suomenlinna depart from the square year-round, and during the summer, you can also reach Korkeasaari, Helsinki archipelago sightseeing cruises, and take sea trips to Porvoo. The Market Square is open from Monday to Saturday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Esplanade Park, stretching from the Market Square towards Mannerheimintie, is a green oasis in the heart of the city. Along the Esplanade, there are several high-quality restaurants, cafes, and boutiques where you can enjoy delicious meals and go shopping.
