Relax at Bomba

Spa Bomba is perfect for the whole family! Unwind in the outdoor hot tubs and enjoy the scenic view of Lake Pielinen, or take a dip in the indoor pools and relax in our sauna world. Spa Bomba is open on New Year's Eve, December 31st, from 10 am to 8 pm, allowing the entire family to enjoy the warmth of the spa. Adults can continue to enjoy the spa’s warmth from 8 pm to 10 pm, during which the spa is open exclusively for those over 18. On New Year's Day, the spa will be open with regular hours, which you can check here.

How about starting the day with a refreshing dip in an ice hole and relaxing in the sauna? At Bomba, you can experience an ice swim and morning sauna on New Year's Day, January 1st, from 7 am to 9:30 am. At the end of our long pier, you’ll find the ice hole, where you can walk directly from the sauna in our spa.

Celebrate the New Year with a delicious meal! Break Sokos Hotel Bomba offers three distinct restaurants: Bistro Ohto, Buolu Cafe & Ristorante, and Restaurant Bomba.

Bistro Ohto is open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day from 3 pm to 11 pm (kitchen closes at 10:30 pm). Explore Bistro Ohto's menu here.

Buolu Cafe & Ristorante is open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day from 12 pm to 10 pm. At Buolu, you’ll find artisan pizzas, classic pastas, and a comprehensive kids' menu. Fireworks to Crown the Celebration!

New Year’s festivities naturally peak with fireworks on New Year's Eve, December 31st. Bomba will have two separate displays so that both children and adults can enjoy the colorful show.

New Year with Bomba Safaris

Try snowshoeing! On New Year’s Eve, you can test snowshoes for free from 10 am to 7 pm on December 31st. If you’re interested in exploring the surrounding nature more, you can rent snowshoes from the Safari House or Bomba Safaris' online store.

Have you ever tried sliding snowshoes? On a guided tour with Bomba Safaris, you’ll learn the basics of using sliding snowshoes and enjoy the snowy forest scenery. The invigorating forest excursion departs from the Kalevan Hovi Safari House on December 31st at 1 pm. The guided tour includes equipment, instruction, and hot juice. On New Year’s Eve, you can join the tour for a special price of €29 per person (normally €60). The tour lasts one hour. Reservations can be made on-site at the Safari House or by emailing bombasafaris@sok.fi or calling +358 10 783 0414.

Sledding is a great way to spend the day with the whole family. On New Year’s Eve, Bomba Safaris provides sleds for sledding, and a grill is set up in front of the Safari House, where you can buy sausages and hot juice (card payments only) to warm up between winter activities.

Children can enjoy bouncing fun at Bomba Safaris’ indoor playground, featuring a bouncy castle, games, and equipment. Children play under guardian supervision. The indoor playground is located on the second floor of the Kalevan Hovi Safari House and is open on New Year’s Eve, December 31st, from 10 am to 7 pm, and on New Year’s Day, January 1st, from 10 am to 4 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Safari House or via Bomba Safaris’ online store.
