Winter Activities

The frost feels on the cheeks, and the sun shines on the ski slope. Winter days are best enjoyed outdoors. Right at our hotel, you can indulge in sledging, skiing, ice skating, and kicksledding. Three major ski resorts, Vuokatti, Koli, and Tahko, are situated 100 kilometers from our hotel.

Ski trails start from the hotel's doorstep and traverse the snow-clad forest. The trails are lit up to Ellu's rock, which is about a little less than eight kilometers one way. The rock features a bonfire site, a hut, and breathtaking, frost-covered hillside vistas over the frozen lake.

If you prefer walking, you can rent snowshoes with poles and embark on an adventure through the wintry landscape. Near the hotel, several good routes make moving on snowshoes effortless. For children and adults who enjoy sledding, we recommend the sled hill or Lystirinne close to the hotel, offering bustling activity and the thrill of speed on a winter day.

After outdoor activities, it's an excellent time to relax in our spa's pools under the starry sky and take a deep breath in the sauna's warmth. Ultimately, everything is crowned with a delicious dinner at Trattoria.

Summer Activities

There are plenty of activities available in the hotel area. Would you like to admire the beauty of nature? Challenge your friends in frisbee golf? Enjoy the spa's atmosphere? Swim in Lake Pielinen and bask on the beach? Or perhaps simply eat well and rest?

In the summer, one can jog on the illuminated ski trail, swim in the beautiful and clean Lake Pielinen, take a trip to an island, or paddle on the lake. During the summer, Bomba's summer market operates daily, serving coffee and handicrafts. Also, Nurmeksen Market hosts summer market events and several outdoor and indoor events from June to August.

Close to the hotel's beach, near Safaritalo, there's a lean-to where you can gaze at the distant view of the beautiful opposite shore of Lake Pielinen and roast your snacks in the campfire's glow. From the hotel's reception and Bomba's building, you can also purchase a campfire package containing everything you need to roast sausages.

We strongly recommend exploring the Orthodox chapel located in our area, accessible via the Path of Contemplation. You can borrow the key to the chapel from the hotel's reception.

In contrast to outdoor activities, you can play billiards or exercise in our gym at the hotel. Our main hall also offers board games for communal gaming sessions. Additionally, you can book treatments at Glimmer Bomba, such as a massage that pampers the whole body or a treatment that improves blood circulation.
