Sokos Hotels - Mission is to create happiness
Onnellistaminen (creating happiness) is when our guests receive more than they can ask for. It's surpassing expectations. It's our sensitivity to listen, our precision to notice, and our willingness to fully immerse ourselves in every execution.
Onnellistaminen (creating happiness) involves both smaller and larger insights to meet - and exceed - customer expectations. This year, Sokos Hotels has been creating happiness for our customers for 50 years! Here are a few examples of how creating happiness has been evident at Original Sokos Hotel Arina.
Guests make the celebration...
... and our housekeeper Anne brightens up a customer who has been working in the co-work space for a long time by surprising them with a smoothie as a snack.
... and VENN's waitress Essi surprises a group celebrating birthdays by decorating the table in advance with streamers, balloons, chocolates, and even surprising the birthday person with a fancy dessert.
... and our breakfast host Merja ensures that guests' long journey goes smoothly by brewing coffee in a thermos and cutting fruits for them to take as snacks.
... and Frans & Camille's Iida-Maria, along with kitchen staff Heidi, organizes a memorable experience for young boys as they get to make their own ice cream servings in the kitchen.
... and our breakfast host Heidi surprises breakfast guests by giving them an "Enjoying Coffee as a Wolverine" mug as a souvenir.
... and our VENN's Viivi guides a "grandma" group to create a shared WhatsApp group while serving.
... and our receptionist Jenna enlists her boyfriend's help when a guest forgets their electric car charging cable at home. Her boyfriend brings his own charging cable as a loan and it turns out they are from the same hometown as the guest. The car got charged, and there was plenty of pleasant conversation!
... and our breakfast host Taru prepares custom-made rolls in advance for a guest with multiple allergies so that they have something to enjoy at breakfast.
... and our receptionist Sini knits a chew toy for a customer's small dog during the night shift because the chew toys in the reception shop were too big for the small dog.
