Original Sokos Hotel Ilves has been awarded the Green Key certificate and the Sustainable Travel Finland label.
Original Sokos Hotel Ilves received Green Key certificate almost 10 years ago and in 2023, we received the Sustainable Travel Finland label. These responsible travel labels mean that we at Ilves are committed to taking into account the well-being of people and the environment in our operations and are actively developing our responsible operations.
Our more responsible actions and tips
- Instead of goods, get an intangible gift for yourself or a loved one - a hotel night or restaurant dinner is sure to please.
- Take the tram or travel smoothly on the Nysse! In summer, you can borrow a bicycle from our hotel and pedal up the beautiful Pyynikinharju. Our staff will be happy to give you tips on nearby destinations and their accessibility.
- Instead of bottled water, enjoy clean and fresh tap water.
- Our rooms have a sorting facility for your rubbish - please help us with this, as we already sort 18 different types of rubbish.
- Our hotel has a sustainability team made up of staff members, whose job it is to come up with and implement more sustainable solutions for our everyday activities.
- In summer, the water of the adjacent Tammerkoski cools the hotel’s indoor air. A water-cooling system pumps water from the rapids, transports it through a pipeline inside the building and finally discharges it, purified, back into the Ratinansuvanto.
