Original Sokos Hotel Wiklund's mission in Turku, is to make sure we exceed the expectations even when it seems impossible.

Original Sokos Hotel Wiklund's greatest mission is to make sure we spread happiness to our customers. Exceeding expectations is part of our every day work and Sokos Hotels has been on this journey for 50 years! Here you can read some of our actions of happiness along the way!

"Kille the dog arrived at the meetings with his owner. Kille's diets etc. were not taken into account when booking the meeting day, so I took him a cooling bed (the first day of summer in Turku), a water dish, a welcome bag and some leftover snacks from breakfast.

When the host arrived, during the lunch break, Kille and I went for a walk along the Aurajoki river to meet Turku's four-legged friends. Then it happened that Kille couldn't even continue the meeting day with the owner (understandably, because the topic of the meeting didn't come close to the wonderful things of a dog's life) Good luck to us - Kille was absorbed in the day's activities and brought a lot of joy to the employees as well!"

"At reception we helped our co-worker from restaurant to find an empty meeting room for couple of hours - as a thank you we got flowers and it brightened up our day! Even the smallest actions can make a difference and can bring joy to our work days. - Colleague got quiet space for her meeting and we got beautiful flowers!"

"Today is the best today! - Strawberry cake and coffee for the birthday hero! "

"Thanks to yesterday's bad weather, the day was really hectic here at Wiklund too. One of our customers had an accident at work due to the weather and he came back to the hotel in a wheelchair, with a broken leg. Today he had an operation and he said he would return to the hotel in the evening, so we wanted to help him in some way. Together with Emilia, we asked our colleagues from restaurant to make a fruit plate for customer and we also left a card to wish to a customer a speedy recovery. With our actions, we were able to help the customer, otherwise not in such a comfortable situation."

"The biggest thanks in the world to the reception staff at Wiklund! First of all, thank you for allowing us to store our bags in your luggage storage during our holiday abroad! However, due to illness, we were unable to pick up our belongings, and the hotel night after the trip had to be canceled! I received incredibly wonderful service from the reception and managed to get the belongings to me with the help of you and an outside person! THANK YOU! ❤ With your help, I saved a lot of money, and of course, those famous nerves! Unfortunately, I don't remember the names, but especially the man who received our goods before Christmas, and the woman who measured and packed the goods on Christmas Eve: YOU ARE UNBELIEVABLE ❤ Missed this time , hopefully I'll get another chance to do it soon! "Our regular customer came as usual to ask for todays newspaper, which we had run out of. He then got upset and went into the room with another paper. Our great Eippi remembered that the customer always asks for exactly this paper because of the crossword puzzles in them, so on Eippi's idea I went to get him a crossword puzzle magazine from the store, which was then taken to his room with warm drink, glögi and gingerbread"

"at meetings we had a group for a second day and they had spent the night at our hotel. I was working at the meetings on that sunday morning and I was thinking what I could do for them today. They would start the day with breakfast so as a dessert I decided to make for them a alcohol-free mimosas so it will give a little bit of luxury feeling to this Sunday morning!"

"Older couple came to our hotel to celebrate their wedding anniversary. We upgraded their room and took a bottle of sparkling wine and some local chocolate to their room with a handmade card"
