Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna in Vaasa has one accessible room, suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

The room is a standard twin room with two separate 100 cm wide beds. The size of the room is 22m2 and it is located close to the main elevator. From the elevator to the floor corridor, there is a door that opens automatically.

The main entrance to the hotel is accessible. Shopping centre Rewell has wide doors that open automatically. In the hotel we have three elevators, the main elevator has a 100 cm wide door opening and the smaller ones have door openings that are 72 cm.

Restaurants and meeting rooms

In our restaurants Rosso and VENN, we take care of all our guests. Our restaurants are accessible and can be reached by elevator through the shopping center or through the reception. In connection to our restaurants, in the shopping centre there is a toilet facility that is designed for guests with reduced mobility.

Our meeting rooms, on the third floor can be reached by elevator. There is a toilet facility that is designed for guests with reduced mobility, on the second floor in the shopping center.

Parking

We collaborate with the underground carpark Toriparkki, underneath Vaasa Market Square. Driving instructions can be found here. On the upper level, there are two parking lots for disabled. The parking garage has signs for accessible parking spaces. The parking fee according to the price list is charged for these spaces. Right next to the parking lots, there is an accessible passage to the hotel. The hotel is reached by elevator (doorway 100 cm) and from the elevator to the hotel lobby there is a doorway that is 88 cm wide.
